Charly Boy Writes A Touching Letter To God

There are so many things that confuse me about
you which brings me to the real reason why I’m
writing to you. But I guess you already saw this
coming, no be you, Alfa and omega - Charly Boy to
God.
In this season of open-letters in Nigeria, the last
person we all expect to have one written to him is
God. But guess what? He has his own too!
Veteran Nigerian singer and controversial figure,
Charly Boy has written God a letter on his blog »
which questions his very basic decisions and
abilities on earth, and in heaven.
The letter which asks numerous questions ranging
from the 'trueness' and 'absolute nature' of
Christianity as the one true religion (in the face of
thousands), and also, why God has not destroyed
Satan, and allowing him to tempt mere mortals,
requires some answers from God.
Charly Boy also went further to ask why God (who
is theorized to be perfect), should create imperfect
humans, ask for praises and worship in churches,
and allow the world to be filled with tribulation and
suffering.
He concludes the revealing letter with an urgent
and somewhat offensive closing.

A Letter To God - Charly Boy
"Dear God,
I had to muster a ‘lotta’ courage to write
you this letter, please don’t get pissed
with me, because there is no way on Earth
that I can stand your vex, as one of your authentic
sons. First of all, I ‘wanna’ thank you for all thou
have given me, beautiful children, a beautiful and
soulful wife, a family filled with love, Mum and Dad,
nice motor bikes, belief in Self. But most
importantly that gift, the ability to shift gears when
the context calls for it and being able to generate
and evaluate several different options in order to
respond effectively to any situation, adjusting to
any condition that I face instead of struggling with
the way things are. Thank you God for all your
mercies, but shey you also know that I have
worked hard for all that I have today, with the
talent you blessed me with. In short BABA, you
built me for the Nigerian roads, no shaking, who
born dem.
There are so many things that confuse me
about you which brings me to the real
reason why I’m writing to you. But I guess
you already saw this coming, no be you, Alfa and
omega.
(1). When I hear some people say that
Christianity is the only true religion
approved by you, I get a bit confused.
What happens to the rest of the people who do not
belong to that religion? Will you send them to hell?
Why should they suffer if they were raised in an
area which did not expose them to the “one true
religion”? For example, there are about 1.2 billion
Catholics.  What happens to the 5.6 billion people
who are not Catholic? What happened to the
people who died prior to the organized religion or
the concept of YOU, default to eternal damnation?
Why is it acceptable to join a religion that was
created by a single man?  For example, King Henry
created the Church of England.  How do we know if
YOU sent them or if it meets your approval, this
religion? How do we know that any religion is
approved by your person? Too much confusion,
waliiitaliii.  Why is it acceptable for religions to
evolve?  Various religions have changed over time
due to cultural pressures – how do we know these
changes are “authorized” by YOU.
(2). God, you are supposed to be perfect I
don’t get it how you ended up creating
imperfect humans, and we are told that we
are all created in YOUR image and likeness. For
me I’m sorry Baba, I don’t get it. How can a whole
YOU create imperfect things, by the way why don’t
YOU just destroy Satan, once and for all? Why is
Satan allowed to tempt us anyhowly? Is it fair? Why
would YOU even allow the creation of Hell? As
CharlyBoy what I put out interms of my image
tallies with the persona of Charlyboy because I
have a kickass attitude. When I see some human
beings, I definitely know that there is no way they
can be YOUR creation, say who die?  For a lot of
Christians, the Bible is the “truth” and the “law” –
then is it not strange that humans are accepting
laws written by men, and that there are many
different versions seen from different
perspectives? GOD please which one is correct?
We have old and New Testament, and one too
many versions, because human beings are
imperfect their stories may as well be imperfect.
(3). Why does a perfect BABA like YOU
who is all powerful and has all knowledge
– require us to praise YOU by going to
Church.  Should it not be sufficient for us to thank/
praise YOU in our own way?  Why do YOU require
praise at all? Why do only humans need to praise
Him, while other species are off the hook? I am
just asking questions, or I shouldn’t be asking
questions? Will YOU punish me for asking
questions? But you are fair and just. Abi?
Why is there often contempt for those who
question religion? If humans were given
the gift of intelligence and the freedom of
choice, why should they be punished for using it?
Why is there continuous conflict between different
religions, and between those who believe, and
those who don’t?  How can anyone know if they
are correct? Why is the universe, Earth, and life so
imperfect? Why would YOU create a world where
there is so much… wrong, so much Beef, so much
Gobee. I just tire for this matter.
And while we’re at it, I’m just really
concerned about the myriad religions that
say that believing anything other than
them will result in going to hell. I mean, Christians
say that Muslims will go to hell, and Muslims say
Christians will go to hell. Can you help me out
here? I haven’t even gotten into Hinduism,
Buddhism, Sikhism, Daoism, Taoism, ancient
Greek gods, ancient Roman gods… what would you
recommend someone do BaBa God.
Abegi, help me with answers before I kolo

Dr. Philip Emeagwali Inventor of the World's Fastest Computer

Dr. Philip Emeagwali, who has
been called the "Bill Gates of
Africa," was born in Nigeria in
1954. Like many African
schoolchildren, he dropped out of
school at age 14 because his
father could not continue paying
Emeagwali's school fees.
However, his father continued teaching him at
home, and everyday Emeagwali performed mental
exercises such as solving 100 math problems in
one hour. His father taught him until Philip "knew
more than he did."
Growing up in a country torn by civil war, Emeagwali
lived in a building crumbled by rocket shells. He
believed his intellect was a way out of the line of
fire. So he studied hard and eventually received a
scholarship to Oregon State University when he
was 17 where he obtained a BS in mathematics. He
also earned three other degrees – a Ph.D. in
Scientific computing from the University of Michigan
and two Masters degrees from George Washington
University.
The noted black inventor received acclaim based, at
least in part, on his study of nature, specifically
bees. Emeagwali saw an inherent efficiency in the
way bees construct and work with honeycomb and
determined computers that emulate this process
could be the most efficient and powerful. In 1989,
emulating the bees' honeycomb construction,
Emeagwali used 65,000 processors to invent the
world's fastest computer, which performs
computations at 3.1 billion calculations per second.
Dr. Philip Emeagwali's resume is loaded with many

more productive – which has resulted in the United
States saving hundreds of millions of dollars each
year. As one of the most famous African-American
inventors of the 20th century, Dr. Emeagwali also
has won the Gordon Bell Prize – the Nobel Prize for
computation. His computers are currently being

Some selected civil society organisations in
Anambra State have called on the new
governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie
Obiano to prevail on members of the state
House of Assembly to properly review the
2014 budget estimate before it is passed into
law in order to clear some grey areas.
The Justice Development and Peace Caritas
(JDPC), Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Civil
Liberties Organization (CLO) Anambra State
Branch, Civil Rights Concern (CRC) and
others at a press briefing yesterday, said the
proposed budget contains very high and
unclear items running into billions of naira.
Reading out their communiqué, the
Archdiocesan Director of JDPC, Rev. Fr.
Edwin Udoye said the purpose of budget
monitoring is that public resources are not
made to benefit only a select few in the
corridors of power but to benefit all,
especially the poorest of the poor.
The group said they noticed issues ranging
from misplacement of priorities, votes that
are unclear and cannot be monitored,
repeated votes that do not promote the
security and welfare of Anambra citizens in
the budget and described the budget as
“inappropriate, unclear and frivolous”.
The group noted that eight years of Obi’s
administration was not known for frivolous
and reckless spending and raised alarm that
the over votes identified in the 2014 budget
might be for self-aggrandizement and
enrichment of few political officials and civil
servants in the government.
“In the 2013 budget, N2 million was voted for
Anambra State Integrated Livestock
Company Limited but unbelievably in 2014
budget estimate, N502 million was allocated
to the company.
Furnishing and equipment for Abuja and
Lagos Liaison offices was N6 million in 2013
but in this 2014 appropriation, it spiralled to
N300m. Also, provision of furniture and
equipment for the offices and quarters of the
Head of Service was allotted N155m without
any specification on the project among
others. We should also ask pertinent
questions whether some of the bogus
allocations are priorities over the lives of
pregnant mothers and the future of children
who should be in school in the state” the
group said.

Bye bye to fuel scarcity in lagos as 70 million litres arrives lagos port.The fuel scarcity situation in Nigeria is set to abate, as major fuel marketers, yesterday, said they have secured the delivery of about 74 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, at their depots in Lagos. This was even as the scarcity worsened, with many of the filling stations closed to motorists, while the few that were selling had long queues. A number of the filling stations that were seen dispensing the products were selling above the official pump price of N97 per litre, while others collected fees before allowing motorists inside their premises. According to Mr. Obafemi Olowore, Executive Secretary, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN, he stated that three vessels, namely United Enterprises, Ocean Centurion and Alizea are discharging fuel in PWA jetty, NOJ jetty and BOP jetty all belonging to MOMAN. According to him, United Enterprise is discharging 22 million litres of fuel, Ocean Centurion is discharging 22 million litres and Alizea — 30 million litres. He said, “That gives you a total of 74 million litres of fuel. It is unfortunate that we find ourselves in this situation but everything will ease out this week because we now have products.Some of our members would receive their product this weekend while others would receive theirs as from next week. So there is no need for panic buying, no need to hoard fuel and my contact in government has assured us that there is no plan to increase the price.

Jonathan has sent a strong message to the Boko
Haram terror group that the Nigerian government
would no longer treat it with kid gloves. Speaking in
Windhoek, Namibia during bilateral talks with
President Hifikepunye Pohamba at the Conference
Hall of the Namibia State House, President
Jonathan solicited the support of other countries in
the fight against terrorism, saying a terror attack
on one country is an attack on all countries. He
said: "The issue of global terror is worrisome and
in Nigeria, we believe that a terror attack anywhere
in the world is a terror attack on everyone. "It may
be more in one country compared to the other. For
instance, in the North Eastern part of Nigeria, we
are having incidence of terror in three states out of
36 states. "Initially, we handled it with kid gloves
but now we have decided to be a little more
forceful because we must thrash out these terror
groups. We must not allow them to continue to slow down economic growth in that part of the
country. "With the terror attacks in that part of the
country, the rest of the country feel it because
Nigerians live everywhere. In these other parts,
there is always the fear that if you do not tackle it,
it will spread to other parts. We will work together
to ensure that terror attack is stamped out globally
and in Nigeria we are committed." Restructuring of
UN Security Council While thanking the Namibian
President for his country's support of Nigeria's
election as non-permanent member of the United
Nations Security Council, President Jonathan called
for the restructuring of the UN Security Council to
make it more democratic, adding that Africa should
be given at least two seats in the UN Security
Council. He said: "I also believe in your philosophy
that if by God's grace, the UN Security Council will
be restructured, that is, if the super powers will
allow it to be restructured, Africa should be
considered at least for two positions to represent
the interest of African people. "I always say that
we cannot talk of democracy when the strongest
institutions globally are not democratic but dictated
to by one country alone. "If we must practice
democracy and emphasise that all countries must
be democratic, we need to start from these
powerful UN institutions that all parts of the globe
must have a say there." Economic integration
While calling on African leaders to promote intra-
African trade for job creation and the development
of the continent, the President emphasised that the
continent must consolidate the regional economic
blocs for economic integration. He said: "If we can
consolidate the regional economic blocs to become
solid, then, we can integrate the economic blocs
before going to political integration. I always
believe that our founding fathers in the days of
OAU, their vision was for Africa to become a single
big continent. "I remember the late President of
Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, his dream was that
political boundaries should collapse in Africa. But
we believe that it is good to envision that kind of
development, but first, we must consolidate the
regional economic blocs." While congratulating the
Namibian President on the occasion of the 24th
anniversary of the country, President Jonathan
said considering the circumstances Namibia
attained independence, the event is worth
celebrating. Pohamba calls for Nigeria, Namibia
collaboration Earlier, Pohamba had said that his
country would forever remain grateful to Nigeria for
the contribution and sacrifice towards the
attainment of the country's independence. He
stressed the need for the two countries to focus
on industrialisation and economic sustenance
particularly in the area of agriculture, mining and
tourism. Pohamba specifically underscored the
need for both countries to jointly exploit their
marine resources and water transportation for
import and export. He said Namibia is the third
most populous nation in Southern Africa and her
mining sector is the second largest contributor to
its GDP. After the bilateral talks, the two leaders
entered a closed door session which lasted for
about an hour before coming out to sign
Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs). 11 MoUs
signed Eleven MoUs were jointly signed by relevant
ministers of both countries. The MoUs included
training of Namibian Foreign Relations Officers at
the Nigerian Foreign Service Academy,
agreements on youth development and on the
waiver of visa requirements for citizens of both
parties holding diplomatic and official passports.
Others are Bilateral Air Service Agreement, co-
operations in the legal field, extradition treaty,
treaty on mutual legal assistance in criminal
matters and technical cooperation agreement for
the provision of volunteer health professionals in
Namibia under the Technical Aid Corps were
signed. The MoUs also include cooperation in the
fields of geology, mining, mineral processing and
metallurgy; trade, investment and cconomic
cooperation and MoU in the field of tourism.

a senior NFF official into her home and, no one
needs to be told what transpires there.

42yr stabs his employer to death because of a picture

year old Haitian born Tilus Lebrun has brutally
stabbed his boss to death and left another man
critically injured at a US restaurant last Thursday
just because the restaurant owner Dimitrio
"Jimmy" Karaloukas » took his photo without
permission.
According to The Sun Sentinel, The Jimmy The
Greek Tavern and Restaurant in Boca Raton was
set in total confusion as Lebrun allegedly took a
knife from the kitchen and fatally stabbed his boss
and injured his colleague in front of patrons in the
restaurant eating dinner. Reports say his act had
more than 20 customers fleeing in fear.
Karaloukas died of his wounds a short while after
being stabbed. The other worker, not yet identified
by deputies, was taken to Delray Medical Center in
critical condition.
According to Deputies, Lebrun then walked outside,
wearing an apron and still holding the large knife,
and called authorities to admit to the crime. He
said, " I killed him because he took my
photograph » ", Lebrun told the police, "They need
to learn how to respect people. I have three kids in
Haiti. I know they will suffer but they will survive."
Lebrun has been charged with homicide and
attempted homicide , and is being held without bail.
